I am getting ready to go to church.
Okay that was just the attention getter. If you read my posts earlier, go back and look at Better Part 2. It ends with Hebrews 10:25. The writer is telling the Hebrews who have come to Christ that they need a body of believers to help them stay strong in the Lord. I’m not saying you won’t get good preaching from the television although that’s another subject for another time.
By the way I am aware of the controversy about Saturday versus Sunday as a day of worship. Should I go look that verse up too?
I’ll go back to the charcoal analogy again. You are grilling up steaks for a get together and you pile the charcoal or wood together and fire it up. One of the pieces breaks off and rolls to the side; what happens to that piece? It dies out and does not have any effect.
So again, I’m getting ready for CHURCH! Who’s with me?
Hebrews 10:25 NKJV
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Acts 2:1-4 NKJV
When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
