Fruit of the Spirit; Love
Galatians 5:22-26 (ESV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
Okay the context of Galatians 5 is showing the difference between carnality (walking in the flesh) and spirituality(God’s Spirit in you). Notice that the word fruit in verse 22 is singular, not plural. These are not fruits of the spirit but evidence of the Holy spirit within manifesting these attributes in you. In other words, making you more like Jesus.
Today I am focusing on Love. This is the Greek word Agape which is unending irrevocable love like what God has for us. So the first evidence or fruit of the Holy Spirit residing in you is the most important, full on, all out, no judgements, love.
John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
