Praise Him when the sun goes down

raiseDo you remember that song we sang as a child, “Praise Him, praise Him in the morning, praise Him at the noon time; praise Him, praise Him, praise Him when the sun goes down.”

This song reminded me of Psalm 146 that simply begins by saying, “Praise the Lord!” I love it. Oh if we would just get up each morning and say, “Praise the Lord, it is good to sing Your praises!” It puts a smile on my face just to say it aloud. Imagine if everyday we determined that no matter what the day looks like we are simply going to praise Him through the battle.

I want to live so close to Christ that I get up and even when the battle is raging in my life, I determine to praise Him in the midst of the battle. I am reminded that demons have to flee at…
