Daily Service: Wisdom in Proverbs

Proverbs 17:5 (ESV) Whoever mocks the poor insults his Maker; he who is glad at calamity will not go unpunished.

Proverbs 17:5 (AMP) Whoever mocks the poor reproaches his Maker, and he who is glad at calamity shall not be held innocent or go unpunished. (Job 31:29, Prov 14:31, Obad 12)

Proverbs17_5

Proverbs 17:15 (ESV) He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the LORD.

Proverbs 17:26 (ESV) To impose a fine on a righteous man is not good, nor to strike the noble for their uprightness.

And the very best advice I got today was this:

Proverbs 17:27 (ESV) Whoever (James 1:19) restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding.
