Invisible Scars

Invisible scars

night terrors

Hyper vigilance

Feeling disconnected

Can’t relate

Do you know someone who has had a traumatic experience (not necessarily combat related)? Do they have trouble sleeping, problems with relationships, trust issues? If you knew this person before, are they dramatically different now?

I had long conversation with a combat veteran that was medically retired. He gave me a referral to a Doctor in the FHB building that helps people deal worth their issues and works to qualify a person for a 12 week residential program in Hawaii.

I gathered all this information because I know someone who needs this kind of help.

But it also made me think of our responsibilities as Christians to reconcile the world to God (see yesterday’s Daily Service). Most of all they need Jesus. Evangelism is everyone’s responsibility, not just the pastor and the missionaries.

Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
