What the church should be

Today’s Verse “I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:1-3

Do you ever wonder what the function of the church should be? There are good aspects of the church today and there are some things that we can certainly improve on. I think this verse, however, sums it up quite well. We need to be unified with each other, working together as one in the Lord, even if we may disagree on some things. We need to show kindness, be supportive, and love one another. If we do these things, we will be more effective in reaching out to those who don’t know the Lord yet. Moreover, they will want to join us when they see us living in humility, gentleness, patience, love, and unity. Commentary by: Traci Elliott
Today’s Prayer Heavenly Father, help us to be unified in the church so that we can honor our calling in You and be moreeffective in showing others how You want us to live. Amen.
When people come across another human, or animal that has gone through a similar experience, they have a way of being able to relate, and bond with each other in a way like no others. This video made us so happy!
