Bible Reading Enhances Any Day (BREAD)
Daily Bible Reading: Isaiah 41-42, 1 John 1
Isaiah 41:1 (NKJV) “Keep silence before Me, O coastlands, And let the people renew their strength! Let them come near, then let them speak; Let us come near together for judgment.
41:1. The Lord confronted the nations and the islands (the remotest places where humans live) face to face in judgment. Of the 15 occurrences of “islands” in the Old Testament, 14 are in Isaiah. Together the islands and nations suggest all the world’s peoples. In suggesting that they meet together, God was not asking that they negotiate; instead He was asking that they come together and realize the truth of His words.
Book: 1 John
Author: Not stated but according to church tradition, the Apostle John.

1 John 1:5-10 (NKJV) This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
