Daily Service: Turn to God First

Are you God centered today? Did you start your day with a praise and maybe a prayer? Do you have morning devotions that center you on God before your day gets away?

I can tell you that I recently asked God to help me focus on Him so that I could put His word out so that people know Him, not me. And every day since then I can tell you that I woke up with a praise song in my heart that led me straight back to the Word.

I heard a good word this morning: Before your head even leaves the pillow PRAISE HIM!

Psalm 59:16 (NASB) But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength; Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your loving kindness in the morning, For You have been my stronghold And a refuge in the day of my distress.

Psalm 5:3 (NASB) In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch.I just found a devotional I downloaded last year, intending to start on January first, but read 5 days to catch up.
