Okay now we do all understand and agree that the regulation set out here for animal sacrifice and associated offerings have no force for the Christian, but it is useful to understand the reasons behind the offerings and sacrifices. This passage, for example, is one of the first prohibitions against leaven in the sacrifice.


Leviticus 2:11 (KJV) No meat offering, which ye shall bring unto the LORD, shall be made with leaven: for ye shall burn no leaven, nor any honey, in any offering of the LORD made by fire.


Psalm 22:1 (NKJV) My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me [Matt 27:46, Mark 15:34]? Why are You so far from helping Me, And from the words of My groaning?
