I just heard something on a talk show that made a lot of sense. As we get more testing done, watch the stats change more positive. More tests mean more negative results, more tests mean we quantify more accurately that the virus is not as deadly as it currently seems.
On the same show there was an interview with a teacher that is working in Taiwan. She said they did everything we are now trying to do back in January. It was over and done by mid February. Two lessons: China knew about this long before they told anybody else, and extreme measures do work.

† CDC is no longer reporting the number of persons under investigation (PUIs) that have been tested, as well as PUIs that have tested negative. Now that states are testing and reporting their own results, CDC’s numbers are not representative of all testing being done nationwide.
