Daily Service: Come out of that grave

As a Christian I identify with Christ and his victory.  In repentance I identify with his crucifixion, in baptism I identify with his burial. In his ascension I identify with the infilling of the Holy Ghost.

Where I am focusing today is based on my music mix and the watch party I just posted on Facebook.  Jesus came out of the grave and left his burial clothes (identify as sin) behind in the tomb.  If you have turned to Christ in repentance, and have been baptized in Jesus name, your sins are forgiven and forgotten.  The problem for many of us is the inability to leave our past life and besetting sin in the grave.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

1 Corinthians 15:54-55 (NKJV) So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.[Isaiah 25:8]” “O Death, where is your sting[Hosea 13;14]? O Hades, where is your victory?”

Ask Christ to wash your mind of all that is old and wrong about you, and replace it with what is new and right in Him
