Daily Bible Reading: Ecclesiastes 8-9, Proverbs 28

Ecclesiastes 8:1-3 (NKJV) Who is like a wise man? And who knows the interpretation of a thing? A man’s wisdom makes his face shine, And the sternness of his face is changed. I say, “Keep the king’s commandment for the sake of your oath to God. Do not be hasty to go from his presence. Do not take your stand for an evil thing, for he does whatever pleases him.”

Ecclesiastes 9:11 (NKJV) I returned and saw under the sun that– The race is not to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong, Nor bread to the wise, Nor riches to men of understanding, Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all.

Proverbs 28:1 (ESV) The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.
