Daily Service – Reach out and touch

Updated for Volume 10

From a series on church foundations at sermoncentral.com

Today we will examine the area of ministry. I have affectionately borrowed the title of my message today from a telephone ad from years ago: “Reach Out and Touch Someone.

1 Corinthians 12:5-7 (NKJV) There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:

Ministry is anything anyone does for God that they can do. It’s not just the pastor or the worship leader. God has given us all the ministry of outreach

Ephesians 4:15-16 (NKJV) but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head–Christ–from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supply, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

You have people who look to you. Reach out and be a help, a shoulder, a kind word.

As we struggle to cope with the current crisis, do what is needed to stay safe, but hug a sister when you need to, speak kindness to a brother, and lend a hand to the stranger.

Adding to this, I just read a post about finding ways to get tablets or something to people that are housebound for one reason or another and could benefit from online church services.

I am soliciting ideas for fund raising and execution.
