Numbers 1:52 (NKJV) The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, everyone by his own camp, everyone by his own standard, according to their armies.
This is a concept that shows up early and often. I use this to tell people why I have been married so long; we keep God in the middle.
Numbers 2:1-2 (ESV) The LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, “The people of Israel shall camp each by his own standard, with the banners of their fathers’ houses. They shall camp facing the tent of meeting on every side.
Mark 3:13-14 (AMP) And He went up on the hillside and called to Him [for Himself] those whom He wanted and chose, and they came to Him. And He appointed twelve to continue to be with Him, and that He might send them out to preach [as apostles or special messengers]
