Daily Service – Blinded by the Light

Updated for Volume 11

You do know that the world is against Godly people, right? Do not expect actors, news agencies, or even governments to do the right thing. Do not expect them to be God fearing people who have the same rules of conduct as you. Here is why:

2 Corinthians 4:3-4 (NKJV) But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

1 Corinthians 2:14-16 (NKJV) But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him? [Isa 40:13]” But we have the mind of Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:18-21 (NKJV) For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. [Isa 29:14]” Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?  For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

1 Timothy 4:1-3 (NKJV) Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

Now, does this mean we should not witness? Does it mean we should not live our faith out loud so that they see it?  No.  It means you should not be discouraged or judgmental of those who are not of like precious faith. It means that wisdom and power come from God, not yourself.

It means LOVE THEM TO JESUS.
