Daily Bible Reading: Lamentations 3-5, Hebrews 10:19-39
Lamentations 3:37-40 (AMP) Who is he who speaks, and it comes to pass if the Lord has not authorized and commanded it? Is it not out of the mouth of the Most High that evil and good both proceed [adversity and prosperity, physical evil, or misfortune and physical good or happiness]? Why does a living man sigh [one who is still in this life’s school of discipline]? [And why does] a man complain about the punishment of his sins? Let us test and examine our ways and let us return to the Lord!
Lamentations 5:21-22 (NKJV) Turn us back to You, O LORD, and we will be restored; Renew our days as of old, Unless You have utterly rejected us, and are very angry with us!
Hebrews 10:19-25 KJV Having, therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having a high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
