Updated for Volume 13
A dear family friend asked for my advice and I will not go into details. Suffice it to say that she came to me before anything bad happened. This woman is like an older sister to me and my wife’s best friend. She lost her husband years ago. He was a retired Navy man like I am, a dear friend. He asked me to look out for his wife after he was gone, so I have always done that. But from that conversation, three ideas, or scriptures came to mind. See the link to Crosswalk.com below. 5 points in the article you should note:
Matthew 7:15-20 (ESV) “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, you will recognize them by their fruits.
1 John 4:1-3 (ESV) Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already.
