Book Review: Mrs. Pollifax and the Lion Killer by Dorothy Gilman

Mrs. Pollifax Mysteries #12

Mrs. Pollifax and the Lion Killer by Dorothy Gilman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

She does solve things but usually gets hurt or waylaid in the process. This time the CIA didn’t send her back to Africa, she went to accompany Kadi to see the soon-to-be King of a small country where Kadi was born to missionary doctors who were later killed by assassins. Take another African adventure where people are getting killed by lions, except that lions do not exist in that country, but assassins dressed to look like lions have killed 5 people before it works out again.

Emily Pollifax accompanies her young friend Kadi back to Africa, where a mutual friend is to be crowned king of his small country. But when several people are slashed by murderous lion claws and Kadi disappears, Mrs. Pollifax must begin a perilous investigation.

Fortunately for all, staunch determination and polished karate skills are on her side.
