Voice of Life by Melanie Cellier
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Moving kingdoms forward despite themselves.
The Spoken Mage is being fought over or attempted to be kidnapped by 2 competing kingdoms now. I found the Sekali kingdom more appealing because they sought to lift everyone up to their ability, not limit them in ultimate serfdom like the two southern Kingdoms including the one the Spoken Mage is supposedly from (now in question by the Sekali that try to detain her). I see good futures ahead and cooperation between three nations to do exactly what Sekali has done (note please the outrage expressed by a member of the Ardann delegation when they learn that Sekali green robes are exalted commoners).

The fourth and final book in the Spoken Mage series.
In her fourth year at the Academy, Elena should be focused on final exams and graduation. Instead, she has no choice but to stop a decades-long war—at least if she wants any future with Lucas.
But it’s hard to stop a war when you’re nowhere near the front lines. And an unexpected invitation—one she can’t refuse—only complicates the matter further. Embroiled in political machinations beyond her experience, Elena will have to plumb the depths of her remarkable power and new abilities.
As she finally learns who she can and can’t trust, she’ll risk everything to win a future for herself, her family, and her kingdom. But if she makes a misstep, the price could be more than she’s willing to pay.
If you enjoy strong heroines, fantasy worlds, adventure, intrigue, and romance, then try the Spoken Mage series now!
