The adventure to make the sword of Shannara, find the black elf stone and defeat the Warlock Lord. Quite the adventure. I actually should have read this first but it is listed as a prequel to the series. Anyway, you will enjoy this if you like intrigue and battle, magic and might.

But Bremen the Druid studies magic and becomes an outcast on its account. Bremen discovers that an invincible army of trolls is fast conquering all that lay to their south.
