World Network of Prayer – Pouring out for the Outpouring Darkness

Visit our website     Pouring Out for the Outpouring   “…there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head. And there were some that…murmured against her. And Jesus said, let her alone…she hath wrought a good work on me” (Mark 14:3-6).   God desires that we “pour out” in prayer for the “outpouring” of the Spirit. The woman, identified as Mary in this passage of scripture, sacrificially poured out all of this costly perfumed balm from the alabaster box upon Jesus. She gave her all to Him who was destined for death, burial, and resurrection. The term alabaster comes from the word “alabasatros” (name of stone). Ancients considered alabaster to be the best material in which to preserve oriental perfumes. “Breaking the box” signified breaking the seal of the box, so that the contents would be poured out or released. When we are broken before the Lord and pray in a spirit of humility and sincerity, our prayer is like sweet-smelling incense that arises to the throne of God from an altar of incense. This helps to prepare the way beyond the veil to help usher us and others into the presence of the Almighty God. Truly, after the resurrection of Christ, He poured out His Spirit as promised.   The Upper Room experience of 120 seekers “pouring out” in prayer was followed by a great “outpouring” of God’s Spirit. (Acts Chapters 1, 2)  Do you want to see the Spirit of God poured out in a greater measure in your home, church, community, city, district, region, state, country, nation, and world? Then like never before pour out in prayer, and watch God pour out and release His Spirit to bring salvation, deliverance, revival, restoration, healing, power, and whatever the need is. “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh” (Acts 2:17).    Psalm 51:17 says, “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.” An atom frequently releases its greatest amount of energy (work) when it is broken or split (nuclear fission). God can release His Spirit to do some of His greatest work when we are broken in His presence and pour out our soul to Him. Hannah poured out her soul before the Lord in prayer, and she gave birth. “And Hannah answered and said…I…have poured out my soul before the LORD” (I Samuel 1:15). The Bible declares, “for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children” (Isaiah 66:8). Hannah, whose name means “grace” or “favor,” gave birth to Samuel, meaning “Asked or heard of God.” Pray as according to God’s will and allow His favor to rest upon you as He uses you mightily to give spiritual birth in His kingdom because you are “heard of God.”    Pray, intercede, travail, and be broken before the Lord! In the sight of God, if you want to wrought a good work too…then “pour out” in prayer for the “outpouring” of the Spirit!   Flo Shaw Director World Network of Prayer              Pray for “A Revival of Prayer”   “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (II Chronicles 7:14).   What will happen if one individual or one small congregation had a hunger for revival with a great harvest of souls and a hunger to see God do the miraculous? What would happen if God’s people tarried and prayed like they did in the Book of Acts where they stayed on their faces before God until the breakthrough came? In Acts 1 and 2, they “all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication. They were all with one accord in one place.” What a prayer meeting! What a revival!    The Azusa Street Revival began with a deep desire for revival. With the hunger for more of God, a lengthy prayer meeting began. What a prayer meeting it was and what a revival they had! God desires to send a mighty revival. “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray . . .” and pray . . . and pray . . . “Unity” mixed with “The Word of God” mixed with “Prayer” is the key to the Great End-time Revival!   Pray that God will send a holy hunger to communicate with Him more than ever before. Pray that God will place a deep desire in the hearts of His Children to draw nearer to Him through the power of prayer and the reading of His Word.Pray that each church and home has an atmosphere and spirit of prayer. Pray that God’s people have a deep desire for the things of God.Pray in prayer, believing that God will send a mighty revival. Pray the Word of God.Pray that the “Glory of God” resides continually in the church of the “Most High God.”Pray that God’s people cherish communicating with the “keeper of their soul” and the “love of their lives” through the power of prayer.   “. . . The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16).   Esther Hunt WNOP Texas Regional Prayer Coordinator District Prayer Coordinator  South Central Texas District         The World Network of Prayer Presents 24/7 WATCH: A Year-Round Initiative for 24/7 Prayer   As of January 1, 2022, WNOP launched an annual 24/7 prayer and fasting chain worldwide in coordination with our existing “Year of Prayer.” Each week WNOP is posting a prayer focus as daily prayer for the entire week. Also weekly, a video is posted on the WNOP Facebook Page of a prayer leader and/or minister leading in periodic prayer. We encourage your participation by joining in prayer.   Will you commit and join with others throughout the world in united prayer and fasting? Sign up by committing in your heart unto God that you will consistently set aside a day each week to do some prayer and fasting. WNOP also has partnered with those in local churches who are already a part of a current 24-hour prayer chain. All of these hours of consecration are culminating to help provide a complete mass prayer covering the entire Church body and to help bring greater success in all that we do in Christ! Together, let’s “watch and pray” and behold great and mighty things in the kingdom of God!
