Daily Bible Reading: Isaiah 46-49
Isaiah 46:5-7 (KJV) To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like? They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship. They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
Isaiah 47:4 (NKJV) As for our Redeemer, the LORD of hosts is His name, The Holy One of Israel.
Isaiah 48:22 (NKJV) “There is no peace,” says the LORD, “for the wicked.”
Isaiah 49:1-3 (NKJV) “Listen, O coastlands, to Me, and take heed, you peoples from afar! The LORD has called Me from the womb; From the matrix of My mother, He has made mention of My name. And He has made My mouth like a sharp sword; In the shadow of His hand, He has hidden Me, And made Me a polished shaft; In His quiver He has hidden Me.” and He said to me, ‘You are My servant, O Israel, In whom I will be glorified.’
