Good story but I think I’ve been reading YA fantasy for too long now. Plots and devices are common across various authors. (restricted library section Harry Potter), magic dying out due to many restrictions around keeping the blood pure (also Harry Potter and the Spoken mage by the same author). Yes, I will get the next book but it better be more original.
