Adam’s lie is about to destroy any chance of love.
Adam was only trying to help his friend, Sam when he wrote letters to Grace that she thought came from her brother. With each letter he wrote, and got back, his affection for Grace has grown. But when she comes to visit Sam who is away, he delays in telling her the truth telling himself it’s up to Sam to do so. He hopes to use the time to let her get to know him and hopefully, to love him.
Can she count on anyone?
When Grace’s parents died, she was separated from her brother and adopted by a good family. Thankfully, through her brother’s loving letters, she found strength and courage. They meant everything to her. When she has a chance to visit him, she is so excited. But he’s not at the ranch. Instead, her brother’s friend Adam, is the one to entertain her and show her around. She enjoys his company and admires his strength and kindness. His observations, at times, echo the words in her brother’s letters but she puts it down to the two of them being close friends. Her world is shaken when Sam returns, and
she learns he didn’t write to her. Confused, hurt, and feeling betrayed, she flees to the place she’d lived
before her parents died. But Adam isn’t willing to let her go.
Is she ready to hear that every word he wrote her was true? And that though she believed they were from her brother, they were from his heart? Is she willing to trust the feelings that have been growing in her heart?
