Daily Bible Reading: Hebrews 7-10

Hebrews 7:1-4 (NKJV) For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all, first being translated “king of righteousness,” and then also king of Salem, meaning “king of peace,” without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually. Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils.

Hebrews 8:6 (NKJV) But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry since He is also Mediator of a better covenant established on better promises.

Hebrews 9:1 (NKJV) Then, even the first covenant had ordinances of divine service and the earthly sanctuary.

Hebrews 9:11 (NKJV) But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation.
