My Redeemer Lives – Hillsong

REDEEMER (גאל, g’l). One who pays a price on behalf of an impoverished relative, in order to effect the release of the relative or his/her property (Lev 25:25–54). The New Testament uses this term in reference to Jesus, whose death comes to represent both payment for sin and freedom for the believer.

Job 19:25 NKJV For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth;^[1]

Matthew 10:45 NKJV For even the Son of Man came not to have service rendered to Him, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for (instead of) many. ^[2]

Hebrews 9:12 NKJV Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.^[3]

I know my Redeemer. I know my Redeemer Lives. Do you?
